  1. Rated 5 out of 5

Marisa Duffy, AFPA Certified Personal Trainer, Group Exercise Instructor, Pilates and M.E.L.T. Certification Instructor

It is a very thorough description of what to prepare for in preparing for a triathlon. It sets the stage for what to expect, what could go wrong, details about the equipment needed and costs, how to train and under possible different circumstances environmentally, offers first aid for common injuries, and nutritional considerations.

It gave me much insight about triathlon training, how incredibly hard one must work and how disciplined one needs to be as well as motivated. It made me aware of all the possible circumstances one might encounter and it refreshed my knowledge about common treatments for injuries and will be helpful as I come across clients with various issues.

I will be extra aware of the biomechanics of the foot and acknowledge how that plays such a huge role in gait and structural support. I will also be able to give clients an overview of what goes into training for a triathlon and help them with the basics to get them started.

Overall … a very informative course.

    Jeweline Sweeney, ACE Certified Trainer

I have learned some great training techniques to use with my clients when they are training for triathlons, as well as just the three separate areas of focus which can be used for all clients in the weight loss and cardio increase categories. The training tables given are a great guideline to use with clients entering the triathlon world, particularly the parameters based on the particular type of triathlon being participated in.

This course is a long and thorough course. It needs a great deal of time to get through all the materials provided. The material provides good reminders and is exactly what trainers/instructors need to know to help their clients succeed.

The course provided information on proper form/technique within the three spectrums of the triathlon. Information is given on not only what to do and how to do it, but how to do it with the best results for your body and your time. There is information on maintenance of equipment, proper use of common areas and other aspects
